About Us

Meet Jax:

Born into nerdom with an older brother that loved comics and cult cartoons, Jax is known as the infamous "stool girl" at Supernatural Conventions, and most recently as the Killjoy who could hardly say a word to her hero, Gerard Way. Spending half of her time buried in comics, books and her own writing, she actually does have a real day job as a photographer. However, her real goals consist of being a showrunner on a major TV series and writing comic books. She has spent the last few years spreading the the geeky news to the masses on Inscaped.com, but has decided to pursue her own path by founding Nerd Universe. Her free time consists of reading fan fiction, fighting over My Chemical Romance merch and probably standing in line at a convention somewhere. Residing in Southern California (aka the Zones), she spends almost as much time at home as in LA attending concerts or conventions.

Meet Skylar:

Skyler resides in the Pacific Northwest were it rains all the time. Seriously, no jokes about it. She has a love affair with the Young Adult Book genre. She has a wide variety of music, but you won’t find any Rap CDS in her collection. Baseball is about the only professional sport that Skyler actually watches and understands. Quite recently she has found that she loves watching old TV shows that are no longer currently on. She’s a pretty active street team member for Capitol Records/ EMI. You can usually find her at a concert passing out promo stuff for one of their artists. She has a fascination with Photography, she loves walking around downtown taking photos of random objects and people. Skyler spends most of her time these days at the local community college pursuing her duel degrees. When she’s not stuck in a classroom listening to a professor drone on and on she can be found either with her nose stuck in a book or with her eyes glued to a television screen. One of her main ambitions is to become a bestselling young adult author, but that would require her to actually finish a manuscript. She’s not the nerdiest nerd in the world, but she does considered herself a book nerd and she has been to a Supernatural Convention, no thanks to Jax for convincing her to go- not that she even needed to be convinced to go in the first place.

A few interesting nerdy Facts:

Favorite Comic Books: The only comic book I’ve ever read was my first edition Smallville one that I won.

Biggest Fangirl freak out to date: Here’s my story, a few years ago back when the Jonas Brothers were all the hype, I went to a concert in Anaheim, CA for their special 3D taping. Well I was standing upstairs with a bunch of other girls waiting to be allowed into the special seating when I heard someone doing a sound check. We were told not to go behind the curtains; well me being who I was didn’t listen and snuck behind the curtain to see who it was. I stood at the top of a balcony overlooking the ground floor, and I saw a tall blonde standing on stage with a sparkly guitar. I instantly let out a high pitched squeal that echoed across the entire venue. She looked up at me and waved. I waved back and hurried back to where my bff was standing and started jumping up and down like a crazy person and was spazzing out as I tried to tell my bff that Taylor Swift just waved at me. That was the only time I’ve actually seriously fan girled out. Ask Jax, she was there when I met Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins; I was calm and collected, completely normal.
